Bothwell House will make a striking addition to the range of top class office accommodation available in Hamilton later this year.
Work has begun on the contemporary, three-floor building on the corner of Bothwell Road and Caird Street. It is due for completion in the autumn and prospective tenants are currently being sought to pre-let space.
The building offers 8,020 square feet of space on each floor - a total of 24,060. It is being constructed by Silverbank Development Company - a joint venture between Citylink Development Company and Bank of Scotland subsidiary Horizon Capital.
Managing Director Ronnie McLetchie said: It is very flexible in terms of how it could be divided up, depending on the tenants requirements. It would be suitable for any type of office-based businesses and has all the specification you would expect of a first rate modern office.
Bothwell House is strategically located near to Hamilton Town Centre and will have attractive, landscaped parking for 94 cars.
The development came about as a result of South Lanarkshire Council selling two 10,000-square-foot office pavilions along with a 1.74-acre site at Hamilton Business Park. As a condition of the sale, the Councils Estates Team specified that the buyer, Citylink, must complete a 20,000-square-foot office development before the end of this year.
If, as anticipated, Bothwell House proves a success then a second phase development will take place. This would include a two-story office building and spaces for 37 cars.
