East Kilbride sees launch of new business development.
East Kilbride is renowned as a prime industrial and commercial location in Scotland. Not only is it ideally situated for links to the major trade arteries to the north and south, but it also has some of the best business accommodation in the West of Scotland.
In a bid to build on this success, South Lanarkshire Council has developed a superb new business facility at Langlands Business Park.
Situated in an attractive greenbelt setting minutes from East Kilbride town centre, Langlands offers a choice of development options for office, distribution and manufacturing uses. Sainsbury s has invested heavily at Langlands with its new distribution facility to service Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Phase One of the new Council-led development has just been completed and provides a two storey pavillion offering 10,000 sq. ft. of office floorspace.
Costing more than £1.3 million - £480,000 of which came from European Regional Development Fund grant aid - the new facility will further enhance the quality of this important business park in the town.
Several temporary jobs were created during the construction stage, with the potential of a further 200 jobs and more than £5m in private investment once the site is fully developed.
As well as the newly constructed office pavilion, Langlands Business Park offers fully serviced sites of between 0.93 hectares (2.3 acres) and 4.16 hectares (10.2 acres). A masterplan to manage and guide future investment and development of the business p park is currently being prepared by the Council.
Councillor Eddie McAvoy, leader of South Lanarkshire Council, said, "The Council is very aware of the needs of local businesses. Units of this type are much in demand in the East Kilbride area and we are confident that they will be snapped up very quickly."
"We have tried to be as flexible as possible when looking at the development of the Langlands site. The new business development offers industry a choice of accommodation while the fully serviced plots give businesses the opportunity to custom-build their own office or industrial facility."
South Lanarkshire Council has also invested £170,000 at Langlands by building a new road to enable development of another part of the park. The new road allowed access to the site of the new Bovill & Boyd industrial unit and released the remaining land for future development.
