Langlands Business Park

New Quality Office/Industrial Units now Available

Langlands

East Kilbride has long been known as a quality business location in Scotland, so it comes as no surprise that South Lanarkshire Council has invested further in the town.

And the fruits of that investment were launched in November with the opening of phase one of a new business facility at Langlands Business Park.sted further in the town.

The two-storey pavilion offers 10,000 sq ft of office floorspace. Costing more than £1.3 million - £480,000 of which came from European Regional Development Fund grant aid - the new facility will further enhance the quality of this important business park in the town.

As well as the newly constructed office pavilion, Langlands Business Park offers fully serviced sites of between 0.93 hectares (2.3 acres) and 4.16 hectares (10.2 acres). A masterplan to manage and guide future investment and development of the business p park is currently being prepared by the Council.

Councillor Chris Thompson, chair of South Lanarkshire Council's Enterprise Resources, said: "The Council is very aware of the needs of local businesses. Units of this type are much in demand in the East Kilbride area and we are confident that it will be snapped up very quickly.

"We have tried to be as flexible as possible when looking at the development of the Langlands site. The new business development offers industry a choice of accommodation while the fully serviced plots give businesses the opportunity to custom build their own office or industrial facility.

"We are very pleased with the new facility and lookm forward to seeing new and established businesses grow and prosper there."

Liz Connolly, chief executive of Scottish Enterprise Lanarkshire, said: "I am delighted to witness the latest development at Langlands Business Park which has been a partnership project in every sense.

"The Business Park aims to bring aound 200 new jobs to Lanarkshire which is great news for the local economy.

"One of the key strengths of East Kilbride is its highly skilled and motivated workforce and employers looking to invest in the Business Park can only benefit from that skill and energy."
